I arranged for transportation for Ashley so she could meet me and come to church last night. Then we went out for pizza.

I wasn't sure how she would react to our church. We're Baptist, but contemporary and very charismatic. She was fine but she said she was waiting for someone to get up and start dancing. Little did she know that the church in FL we attended did dance as moved...

She's beginning to open up some more about her life. It's so hard to just be the listener when she tells me things that mirror some of my more horrifying experiences. I comment in the third person so as to not get too personal. She is just a child afterall, but one that has seen way too much of the dark side of life for her age.

I'm going to pick her up Thanksgiving night and take her for dessert somewhere. She is not allowed to go home for Thanksgiving this year which only adds to her sadness. But she is excited about going back to my church on Dec 12 to see a live performace of "The Gift". It should be really good. Praying for more seeds to be planted. \0/

I like to cook, I also like to experiment when I do so and will say when it's served "now this may not taste right, but won't kill you". David liked last night's meal, Melanie said she did. I think the goat cheese flavor was a little strong.

I tell everyone and their brother that I don't want a love interest, which is only a half truth, but when I get the opportunity to meet someone new I grow wings.

I was supposed to meet someone new this weekend in FL. I canceled him last week.

I don't think I have the strength to shoulder another possible train wreck...

I renewed a friendship with someone that I was close to about 35 years ago. We traveled in the same circles, but he was an "older brother" and was just someone to drool over When he was near I was far and vice versa and we never seemed to be on the same page. His b-day is two days before mine so we have kept up over the years via snail mail with cards and invites, etc. He went through life as we all do with all of its ups and downs and finally we're back in the same town at the same time.

We've gone out a few times and are "catching up". He's still such a nice guy. It's casual and fun. We laugh all the time, and we have fond memories from years ago. I think I'm actually happy again.

PS, he's a great smoocher.

I like the clean feel of washing my hands, I'm not freakishly oCD about it, but I just feel better when I can wash them in cool water.

I LOVE being in cool water. When we had our pools I was in every day, even when it was cool outside. I could just live in a soaking tub...doesn't have to be a big pool, just enough to cool off in.

I've often tried to dream up with some type of wet suit that your wore like underwear that just circulated cool water around your body in the summertime. Could never perfect that concept though...

They already make those... race car drivers wear them to keep from overheating. You should check into them

I used to do web work for a guy from Puerto Rico who raced in the circuit just below Indy Cars - my brother and I got to go down to PR for one of his races - pretty sweet. My friend would have won the race but he had to stop twice to be iced down because his cooling suit wasn't working. They don't put AC in those cars and those huge engines put off lots of heat.

I had a bizarro dream last night. I was in a cave with Jesus and He wouldn't allow me to kill any spiders...
