papers ... ugh... i can't stand for papers like mail all lying around, they have to be put into stacks or a stack. i cant seem to think if they arent arranged in right angles to themselves and the table they are on. i know, a tad weird. i jsut got in trouble with my husband for stacking up the mail and paperwork and disarranging his non-stacks....i cant walk by the island and not do this, i think i could do it in my sleep!

yeah, fellow organizer here too. I can have a messy br, but rest of house id prefer neat as a pin. if just me here, would stay that way. nothin like family eh. [; good prob to have. rather it messy than totally empty for too long. when i lived alone, rarely that lonely, usually took trips to be aaround people. even 2am for ice cream in 40 degree weather. fun! HEHEHE maybe we could start an organization club, or biuzness?

I'm so bad about that too, straightening up strewn paperwork. I do it without even realizing I'm doing it sometimes. Drives my husband bananas, well... when it's his paperwork that he's currently laid out to work on and then I go and straighten it up!

i know, i think i feel a new hole in my hiney from him getting so mad. i think i do it too much. and i move things all the time. i believe everything has a place and if it is out of place, it drives me nutty and so i put it back. my husband likes to make "piles" everywhere, from recipts to coins to card and sometimes he cant find his credit cards/license. you cant imagine how nuts this makes me when it is trouble enuf to keep every peice of every toy together and legos from being road hazards in the home! arggg. ocd is really not fun.

I'm the same way and I'm not even married. i guess the fact that my mom and dad both work and my last brother goes to school, i like to do all the house work. I try to make everything perfect for when they come home and more often then not dinners on the table when they get home. My other thing is that I clean peoples house when i'm babysitting. Not because i'm asked but just because i personally just like to have things cleaned. I don't move things out of there places, i just straighten things up.

we gotta find some way to channel these talents for good that wont anny men in ourr family. my dad loves his organized messes around the house. he collects coins and how to books. and political stuff. my room is messy, but lkeep my bed made. hehehe i dont touch their room, except to vac or dust, take out trash.

I love my organized mess, sunsets (started to type 'sunrises' - not! I'm not a morning person ), pina coladas, long walks in the rain, I am not into yoga (I have half a brain), and I'll stop there

How funny. Well, I jsut had a huge houseful of people, 12 relatives at the same time. My sis in law, her man, and her 4 boys!!! also, my mother and father in law. my house is not torn up, but the clean up is a little overwhelming. I had like 20 panic attacks while they were here. They ranged from when they were walking around on my new carpet with red juice to their 40 lbs. boy sitting on my 7 month old's back. Yikes. I simply cant "do family" and not worry about every drop and slug to the kids. Call me nuts, but I think a limit of 4 at a time is sensible.

totally agree. i got 3 nephs and 3 nieces, my mom helped raise first brood while my bro/sis inlaw both worked[i was 16 then, no car to share], plus my dads invalid mother came to live with us, one car-my dad worked nights. my mom couldnt take me to school, so i finished by correspondence. [hs]this taught me tolerance, patience, compassion and how not to be a teenager[i did rebel then].
