A question without answers is just like the painted ship, upon the painted ocean...neither breath nor motion.

Ask the question of Him. You WILL get an answer.

Echo, you only get the answer you want to hear. How do you know God doesn't want you to switch religions? You, like everyone else, are only open to the "answers" that you want to hear.
However, I do believe at times that subtle things happen because God wills it to be. I am going into the Navy because the day I was going to sign up for college, I recieved a phone card from the Navy. As luck would have it, I needed to use it. Well, in reading how to use the card, I also read a lot about the Navy on the phamplet they sent. Now I'm heading into the Navy. Do I think this was God speaking to me? I'll never know. But if that's what you want to call God talking to you, then that's fine.
Just don't make it sound like it's so easy. That the answers are right in front of his nose and he's too stupid to see them. DA bro, expect a PM from me soon, I know what you're going through. Maybe we can get through this together.
By the way, to all newcomers or any oldies out there (*cough nabster cough*) for an easier read, put two spaces between each paragraph. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way, but whenever I see a post or article written that way, I can't stay focused. I am dyslexic and the words start shifting around because there are too many in one paragraph for my mind to read.
Thanks, Mouse

Hi Mouse, I am really excited for you in your pursuit to join the Navy!

I don't base my religion on my feelings unless they line up with the word of God. I allow the Word to shape my feelings. Christianity stands apart from all other religion, it is unique. Reading the Bible, one will eventually come to see the truth in it.

It's not easy and that is why I have so much patience and love for others. I even said to DA that prior to my becomming a Christian, I didn't see God's finger prints in anything either, just like DA. I was just trying to tell him that though he doesn't see God at work in his life, that doesn't mean that God is not at work in his life.
I know firsthand how hard it was to comprehend and understand God before being a believer and even for years afterwards I went through many struggles. All along that LONG road, God kept teaching me more and more. He's not finished yet! But he has brought me a long way! He does give answers, yes, yes, yes, but it does take time sometimes. That's why I said you got to have patience. It takes time. Sorry Mouse
I don't think DA is stupid in any way and I am not sure how you came to that conclusion. I have been where he is at! I know what it is like.
I really am confused as to how you came to the conclusion that I thought DA was stupid?? What did I say to make you think that so that I can clear up any misunderstandings?
Wishing you all the best in the Navy!
